This issue focuses on agribusiness issues across Central America. We describe responses to global agribusiness trends that threaten famine in the region. CIEL report on Nicaraguan communities affected by agrichemicals and pollution, followed by three articles on pesticide poisonings and attempts to control these. We also report on ENCA partners working for community agriculture in El Salvador, and struggling against illegal logging in Honduras.
